Interesting facts about Northampton

The city of Northampton once had an original way of transport: a horse-drawn tram! This system was launched in 1881, and was a great success until the early 20th century, when the tramway was electrified. The hippomobile tramway was then abandoned in the 1930s in favor of motorized buses. While staying in Northampton at our Campanile hotels, the large bus network will let you move around the city with ease!
