Burgundy, a traditional wine country

In Burgundy, each winery owns the statue of its patron saint, which is welcomed into a different family every year. Since 1938, the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin has made this tradition a popular annual celebration, the Saint-Vincent tournante, which takes place annually in a different wine village in Burgundy. In the early morning, a hundred confréries parade solemnly, followed by a Mass where former winemakers are inducted. Two days of celebration and tastings take place to discover this rich heritage.

Visit the Burgundy Canal

River cruises on the Burgundy Canal are an original way to discover the rich local heritage. The canal is open from April to October and is now reserved for boating. Treat yourself to a bucolic dream through a rolling landscape. Chateauneuf-en-Auxois Castle dominates this countryside environment, and you can stop by the vineyards to enjoy the crémant, a fabulous AOC sparkling wine. This slow tourism, generous and convivial mindset is also the one you’ll find in the evening, after an awesome day, in the comfort of your Campanile room.
